Natures Way Krill Oil

Recently advertised on TV I decided to investigate Natures Way Krill Oil.

Natures Way Krill Oil is advertised as a ‘Super Krill Oil’. What they don’t explain in the advertising is that it is combined with Fish Oil, which allows them to have a lower price but is it really that cheap.

They also state that it is 6 times more powerful than fish oil, so I decided to check out their ingredients. See my other post Krill Oil VS Fish Oil.

Natures Way Krill Oil – Ingredients

Each capsule contains
Euphausia superba oil (Krill Oil) 335mg
Equiv. to Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 50.25mg
Equiv. to Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 30.15mg
Equivalent Astaxanthin 419mcg

Concentrated Omega 3 triglycerides – fish 200mg
Equiv. to Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) 66mg
Equiv. to Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 44mg

After reading the ingredients of Natures Way Krill Oil I quickly realised why their pricing is low because it only contains 335mg of Euphausia superba oil (Krill Oil).

And there are only 30 tablets in the bottle.

So sure the price tag of $25.90, or there abouts sounds good but is it really worth it???

Natures Way Krill Oil – VS Other Brands

Personally I always use a brand of Krill Oil that contains 500mg of Superba Krill Oil.

And I can easily obtain 60 tablets for under $35 dollars!

So what I am saying is that I have access to tablets that contains 3 time more in krill oil, with twice the amount of softgel tablets for only $10 more.

Not only have I replaced my Fish Oil, I no longer take my glucosamine tablets. My 1 tablet of Krill Oil supplements have replaced 5 fish oil and 2 glucosamine and my joints are loving it.

Natures Way Krill Oil – Summary

I hope this article has been helpful and make you realise that you need to always check out the facts before buying a product.

I am also concerned that Nature’s Way Krill Oil is being advertised by Biggest Loser’s trainer Shannon Ponton. Advertising costs money and that money needs to be recouped. Are we paying for this expense from mixing Krill Oil with Fish Oil?
